Installation Ford Sync 2 / My Touch Mirror Link - 2021

Sync 2 and mirrorlink using EasyConnected - No need for Sync 2 MyTouch's Serial number

Installing the software:

 

1 - Copy the files to a Fat32 USB drive.

2 - Connect the USB drive to the car.

3 - Click add a wallpaper in the wallpaper settings.

4 - Locate the USB drive, and select the Installer.jpg.

5 - Code from Installer.jpg will execute the install files.

4 - The system reboots and says that maintenance is being performed.

7 - It will start normally without an app.

8 - Remove the USB drive from the car and connect it to your PC.

9 - Change the file name "Pack_install.bin" to install.bin

10 - Insert the USB drive into the car again (Nothing happens at first, but the installation will start after a minute or two).

11 - The Mirrorlink app appears under your Apps.

Please note:

 

I use Android 10. The EasyConnected application is in English not Chinese.

 

This patch can be removed by the factory update process. Therefore, be careful!
